The Mandly Bangali Group from Pushpa Vihar Durga Puja & Kali Puja Samiti, in collaboration with अथक् प्रयास सतत् विकास, successfully organized a Community Outreach Program on 14 September 2025 at Pushpa Vihar. The program was conducted on the occasion of the Annual Sports Day Event of the local community and focused on promoting a Zero Waste Model, sustainability, and community participation.

The outreach program featured two key activities — a Paper Scrap Collection Drive and a Community Art Workshop, both designed to create awareness about responsible waste management and mindful living.
As part of the Zero Waste Model drive, community members actively participated in collecting and segregating paper scrap, including used notebooks, newspapers, and other recyclable paper materials. The initiative encouraged residents to understand the value of recycling and their role in reducing waste at the community level.

Alongside the collection drive, an Art Workshop was organized for participants from different age groups, creating an inclusive and engaging space for creative expression. The workshop aimed to promote mindfulness, reduce screen time, and encourage the development of creative hobbies among children, youth, and adults alike. All participants received art kits as a token of encouragement for their active participation.
The program successfully brought together members of the community, fostering collaboration, creativity, and a shared commitment to sustainability. Events like these play a crucial role in strengthening community bonds while spreading awareness about environmental responsibility.
Special thanks to Ms. Joshika Bhattachriya and Ms. Sutrishna Ghosh for their dedication and efforts in organizing and executing the Zero Waste Model drive successfully. Their leadership ensured smooth coordination and impactful community engagement.
