World Water Day 2026 was celebrated in collaboration with the Eco Club of DAV Police Public School, focusing on this year’s theme, “Water and Gender”, with the campaign slogan “Where Water Flows, Equality Grows.”
The initiative aimed to sensitise students about the vital role water plays in ensuring equality, sustainability, and community well-being. As part of the celebration, the Eco Club team was incentivised and appreciated with registers to support their learning journey. This effort also promoted the concept of digital detox, encouraging students to reduce screen time and reconnect with the practice of handwriting. The initiative further emphasised the importance of handwriting and creative writing, inspiring students to express their thoughts.
Under its initiatives जल ही जीवन and मेरी बेटी मेरी शान, अथक् प्रयास सतत् विकास continues to empower and educate the student community. By linking water conservation with gender equality, the programme reinforced the message that sustainable development and social equity go hand in hand.
This celebration served as a reminder that small steps, such as mindful water usage and conscious lifestyle choices, can contribute significantly towards building a more sustainable and equitable future.
