Reviving the Power of Writing Through Sustainability
On 11th March 2025, The Notebook Project took a meaningful step forward with the R2E “Recycling 2 Education” workshop, organized at MCD Primary School, F2 Block, Sangam Vihar, Delhi. This one-day workshop was designed specifically for students from marginalized communities, spanning Nursery to Class 5, and was met with active enthusiasm, participation, and deep engagement.
The Core Objective: WRITE MORE

The central aim of the R2E workshop is simple yet powerful — to encourage students to write more and reconnect with the foundational skill of handwriting. In an age dominated by digital screens, R2E is working to reduce screen time, revive the habit of writing, and promote creative expression, all while rooting students in environmental responsibility.
A Day of Learning, Awareness, and Action

Led with heart and purpose, the workshop featured:
- ✍️ Writing-focused activities that reinforced classroom learning
- ♻️ An interactive discussion on waste recycling, led by the school’s Principal, Mr. Tarak Chand Mahavir, who played a pivotal role in raising awareness and fostering inclusivity
- 👩🏫 Enthusiastic participation from teachers, who actively supported the cause
- 💚 Special thanks to Ms. Bhawna for her dedicated volunteering and contribution throughout the event
