Zero Waste Model at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Mehta Vidyalaya: A Step Towards a Sustainable Future

16–17 June 2026 | Academic Session 2026–2027

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Mehta Vidyalaya successfully conducted the Zero Waste Model Program on 16–17 June 2026 under the flagship initiative अपशिष्ट पुनःचक्रण by अथक् प्रयास सतत् विकास, the CSR initiative of Anil Agencies (P) Ltd.

The drive brought together the school community to promote responsible waste management and resource conservation. The school collected an impressive 1,278.045 kg of paper scrap, which was exchanged for premium photocopy paper to support the institution’s academic and administrative needs.

Creating Impact Through Circular Thinking

The Zero Waste Model is an exchange program in which paper scrap is exchanged for valuable educational resources while encouraging responsible environmental practices within the school community. The initiative nurtures a culture of recycling, resource conservation, and collective responsibility, making sustainability a part of everyday school life.

Aligned with the Green School Initiative and the vision of NEP 2020, the program promotes experiential learning, environmental stewardship, and sustainable campus practices.
