The Notebook Project at Primary School, Sihani Ghaziabad

Under the meaningful initiative “निरक्षरता से साक्षरता, साक्षरता से कुशलता”, an R2E (Recycling 2 Education) workshop was successfully conducted at Primary School, Sihani, Ghaziabad with the active participation of 90 students.

The workshop aimed to create awareness among students about recycling, upcycling, and proper waste management. Through simple and engaging activities, students learned how waste materials, especially paper waste, can be exchanged for educational materials.

As part of the exchange activity, students contributed their paper waste and received new learning materials such as notebooks, art files, color books, mandala books, and color kits. This initiative not only promoted recycling but also supported students in their academic needs.

A key objective of the workshop was to encourage handwriting practice and promote digital detox by reducing screen time among students. By providing attractive and useful stationery, students were motivated to spend more time on writing, drawing, and creative learning.

The workshop effectively supported students’ educational needs by promoting regular handwriting practice and mindful learning habits. By encouraging the use of notebooks and creative materials, it helped students focus more on writing, creativity, and meaningful engagement beyond screens.
